چکیده
5Recently, Otsuji and Takagaki have reported the accumulation of these compounds in 6azauracil treated bacteria, Journal of Biochem. (Japan), 46, 791 (1959). 6 Strominger, J. L., J. Biol. Chem., 224, 509 (1957). 7 Gray, C. H., and E. L. Tatum, these PROCEEDINGS, 30, 404 (1944). 8 Resumption of the DNA synthesis may have a decisive role in making the unbalanced growth of the organisms irreversible. 9 The 60 minutes' incubation time with FU-a standard condition used in our experimentsmay represent the critical time up to which the above mechanism of action of the drug predominates. On prolonged incubations inhibitions of other phases of pyrimidine metabolism may become decisive.

Two forms of chlorophyll a in vivo with distinct photochemical functions.
Action spectra of the Emerson effect in Chlorella and Navicula reveal peaks at 670 mut, in addition to those at 650 mu (Chlorella) and 630 mmicro (Navicula) attributable to chlorophylls b and c. Thus, excitation of chlorophyll a form "chlorophyll a 670" can supplement, in these algae, the excitation of the form "chlorophyll a 680-700." The effect of the auxiliary pigments in these algae may be ...

The aim of this study was extraction of fucoxanthin pigment from brown algae Colpomenia sinuosa in Qeshm Island (winter, 2019) and to investigate its antioxidant effect. In order to extract fucoxanthin pigment, these algae were used in medium containing methanol solvent and by chromatography (HPLC), column 18 with fixed phase, Silica peak presence of fucoxanthin {RetTime} in 3,893 minutes and...
متن کاملChronic and acute effects of nickel and cobalt on chlorophyll a and carotenoids of marine micro algae Nannochloropsis oculata
Algae are among the aquatic organisms that are severely exposed to increasing levels of pollutants, which are becoming a concern in marine ecosystems. Heavy metals are among the compounds for which their increase in high levels causes problems in the structure of algae communities in aquatic ecosystems. In this study, the effect of different concentrations of Nickel (1.5, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 15 mg/...
متن کاملThe Effects of Marine Algae on Osteoporosis
Background: Osteoporosis is a prevalent bone disease caused by an imbalance between bone formation and resorption. Nutritional factors are involved in the prevention of osteoporosis. Several treatments exist for osteoporosis including bisphosphonates, parathyroid hormone, estrogen therapy, and hormone therapy, which have their own side effects. In the quest for an appropriate treatment for os...
